R&R Truck and Trailer, Inc. started out in 1985 as R&R Truck and Tractor, owned by Roger Hutchens, and specialized in heavy truck repair and general farm equipment repair.
The original business started out in the east building of the form Melton Truss Company on Hwy 62 West. When the business outgrew east building, the larger west building and adjoining property was purchased and the business was moved into it.
When the independent trucking business and agricultural business declined in the early 90’s, Roger began fabricating trailers and truck beds for local customers.
Once people started seeing the quality of the products the news spread and demand grew.
An addition was built to accommodate the increase in business and fabrication equipment. General mechanic work was phased out around the year 2003 as the fabrication part of the business continued to grow.
Doug Hutchens joined R&R in 2004 to help with the increased demand for manufacturing capability. Another addition was built in 2004 to handle the dealership truck bed installations and the new CNC plasma cutting table.
In 2005 R&R Truck and Tractor incorporated to form R&R Truck and Trailer, Inc. The company is still family owned and operated.
In 2006 adjoining property was purchased and another 80x140 building was constructed to handle larger trailer contracts.
R&R Truck and Trailer, Inc. now employees 18 and provides a wide variety of products for transportation, industrial, and agricultural needs including:
- Specialty trailers
- All types of truck bodies
- Custom fabrication including industrial and custom transportation equipment
- Complete trailer repair service
- Portable welding services including pipe fence construction and custom signs
- Retail steel sales to the public
- Custom CNC plasma cutting
R&R is one of the largest stocking dealers for Redline Trailer Parts in the region and carries a large selection of trailer repair parts and accessories as well as truck toolboxes.
